Debbie Shelan

Vice-President

Debbie Shelan, co-owner and Vice-President of Global Fintech Forum, graduated from University of Texas in Austin with a BS in Education and from The University of Texas in Tyler with an MS in Education. After teaching for seven years and serving two elected three-year terms on a local school board, Debbie moved into corporate management to oversee HR and finance for Global Fintech Forum.

As the Chief Compliance Officer, Debbie manages the Corporate Compliance Program for Global Fintech Forum and runs semi-annual compliance training to ensure that the Board of Directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies. Debbie administers company policies and assures that behavior in the organization meets the company's Standards of Conduct.

Outside the office, Debbie is a sustainer in the Junior League, a former member of the Zonta Club, and a multi-term president of Temple Emanu-El. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
